We can add all the important and memorable days to the calendar so we can keep track and refer to it whenever we need. It will make it super easy to keep track of your favorite's birthday, debut anniversary, and many more important dates! A big shoutout to Bekki who brought the idea up and please give thanks to her if this becomes a big thing!

I forgot to tell you about the badges! I’m going to tell you now so listen up! For a limited time a majority of badges have been changed to a selection of produce 101 trainees consisting of 37 trainees. Now you can all be fans for a select trainee of your choice! Just request the badge or perhaps you already have it! Aha!

Also each user will be graded on their skill level! Users can purchase grade level stamps and send them to another user to display their level of skill, talent and on site charisma!! Grades range from A-F. Grade Stamps can be purchased in the WonHallyu store.

First off, I would like to say that we had an amazingly talented group of applicants.  This isn't just hyperbole; their creativity and passion made it very tough to narrow down the field.  Thank you so much to everyone who expressed interest in joining our team.

One week ago we debuted the newest members of the OneHallyu events team.  All four were picked, in part, for their availability to host games for our entire global community.  Please anticipate.  

During the Easter event, they all lived up to the high standards set by our current and former team members.  That said, we are proud to introduce:

sillycone: creator of the immensely popular “Idols Who Stole Easter.”  Already an experienced game host, we are excited to see what silly can do as a member of the OH staff.

pikky: host of the intensely competitive team game, “Easter Egg Trail.”  A popular user around the game forums since the old days of Hallyu8, we anticipate big things from pikky’s ambitious plans.

kumakuma: the brain behind the chaotic and fun “Eggin OH,” which left its mark literally, and figuratively, all around OH.   Anticipate more unique events from this graphics design major with an unusual sleep schedule.

Haru: we had to fight the OH Press coordinator for Haru.  Holke, feeling bad when she made me cry, allowed us to borrow the creator of Easter BOH!ard.  Be excited for the concepts and ideas of our newest member from a land down under.

One final note: something we learned during this recent hiring process is that many users have the creativity and enthusiasm to develop and host games, but for a multitude of reasons do not.  We know that hosting can be a daunting task, therefore I would like to remind you that we are not only a source of games, but also a resource for the entire community.  Please shoot the coordinators a PM if you believe that we can be of assistance.  

Again, congratulations to Haru, pikky, sillycone, and kumakuma, and we look forward to seeing everyone in one month!

As you may or may not remember, RadiOH started recruiting for new members at the beginning of the year. After receiving a lot of sincerely great applications and having some very difficult decisions to make, three new members were eventually chosen.

Now that the new team members have successfully completed their probation period, I'd like to formally introduce them and their shows to you.

As well as bringing a lot of technical know-how to the team, including broadcast and graphics skills, Beckycute also introduces us to lots of new music due to her interest in many nugu groups and upcoming rookies, including hot topics Lovelyz, GFRIEND, iKON, Oh My Girl, Twice, DIA and Seventeen, among others. She's based in Rennes, France.

A couple of days ago I received an email, which reminded me to extend the forum license for the next year. That's when it finally hit me, that OneHallyu's 3rd anniversary was going to come very, very soon.   

I have never thought to myself that I would stay with this community for this long, and I could never have dreamed of how far this small community has grown throughout the years. Throughout the years, this site has been a big part of my life, and I'm really grateful for all the experiences I got from it. There have been ups and downs, a lot of pressure, stress, and frustration. But from OH, I have learned a lot of new things, had the opportunity to try many things I could only dream of, and met/befriended so many cool and interesting friends all over the world.     

It is just a simple fact that the community is only as good as its members, and I have to thank all of you for being here, contributing to this awesome forum. Thank you all for your support, and thank you all for making OneHallyu what it is today.  

Here we are today, celebrating the 3rd anniversary of OneHallyu. I hope we will continue to grow stronger and stronger, for the many more years to come.

I also hope everyone can take a chance and show some love and appreciation for people who have made your forum life interesting and enjoyable: that dedicated poster who is always the first to post the updates; your awesome friend who has made your online life much more interesting; or that helpful staff who tries their best to assist you with that silly request!!

The time some, if not most of you, have been dying for has arrived!  Awards Change Season!  This is a pre-awards season notice letting users know that the official start will be coming in a few days.  With these few days, users can visit the newly created Award Voting subforum.  They can check out some of the essential threads that will be available and familiarize themselves with the process and what steps to follow beforehand.

Because the Awards Change Season will be happening, updates will be put on hold.  The last update will happen June 5th.  After that date, we will not be adding new badges or marketplace items to the system as a means to focus our time on the Awards Change Season.  So get in your requests before that day!

Some important things to remember for the season:

• Do not try to make voting threads before the official announcement and opening of the awards voting subforum.  This time is meant for users to gather and familiarize themselves with everything as well as decide on who they want to OP threads. DO NOT try and jump start the voting process.  All thread that do will be removed or locked.

• You must submit your OP Approval before hosting an Awards thread, or PM voting.  This is to help us, as well as the users know who is in charge of the voting for a particular group/soloist/etc, as well as have fellow fans and/or holders have input as to who they think can fairly run the voting process for the badges.

• Voting will still not be allowed to take place in artist threads.  All voting will take place in the Awards Voting subsection or via PM.  For situations to fall under PM, it has to be a non-group badge (meaning, soloist, OTP, actor/actress, or Comedian) with 4 or less holders.  Group badges and their individual member badges take place in a voting thread.  There should be no PM votings done for them.

• Ex-members may hold separate voting threads from their groups.  Ex-members will be treated as soloists, so the individual thread and holders can decide if they want to have voting separate from the group they were in or not.

• OTPs will hold voting separate from the group thread.  If a badge is under the OTPs/Pairing section of the Awards Listing, voting will happen in its own thread.  If the badge has 5 or less holder, voting may be held via PM.

• Badges that will need to be changed. Yes, this happened last year, but we noticed there were a few that went missed and hope they get changed this time around.  This will also be the last time we do this, so this is not a continuous thing each season. If the badge holders do not change the badges prior to the deadlines, then the badges will be changed by the Awards Team.

• No bribing for votes. This was something that became a bit of a problem for some threads. While there is no harm in getting people to participate in voting, it does get to be a problem when you try to buy votes for a badge. It's not fair to those participating in the voting fairly and just makes the process an unpleasant experience for everyone involved, so please don't do it. If we do catch such behavior, we will take action.

Some general Badge Guidelines to abide by:

✧ No fantaken images - official photos only
✧ The artist's face must be clearly visible
✧ Selcas are only allowed for OTP badges
✧ No low quality images
✧ Screenshots are allowed if they are high quality and not from fantaken videos
✧ No overly edited images

*Failure to follow any of these rules may result in your badge image being rejected*
 

The season will go as follows:

Group 1: Groups with 6 Badges or Less (A-H) due July 5th
Group 2: Groups with 6 Badges or Less (I-Z) due July 11th
Group 3: Groups with 7 Badges or More due July 18th
Group 4: Fandoms, OTP, Actors, Soloists due July 25th
